are you nuts
if obama gets elected he lays all this at the feet of the republicans and claims a manfate to re-socialize the economy like FDR. Of course FDR made things worse, but you could see he was doing stuff and he said he cared so it worked, politically. Obama would do the same, casting Bush as Hoover and saying that the crisis DEMANDED nationalized health care, higher capitial gains taxes, taxes on the rich taxes on business, and let uncle sugar take care of you.
Obama getting elected, with reid and pelosi still in power, is a worst case scenario

But wouldn't the absolute tanking of the economy prevent Obama from nationalizing everything. There would be no funds to do anything extra. I am talking about bare bones kind of stuff. Don't we as conservatives both moderate and hard-liners have to acknowledge that Obama's election, as repulsive as it is, is a very real possibility. And isn't the government explosive growth happening under both republicans and democrats. The Repubs no longer argue against government as Reagan did. They just want to spend less than the Dems. Isn't a nuclear option worth considering since we might have the same ruslt anyway?
