Is It The Ideas, Stupid?

conservatism wins

that's why a local politician is running his ads touting himself as a fiscal conservative and "man of faith". He's a Democrat, but it appears nowhere on his literature.

It Wont Be Close

Either the public buys Obama's rhetoric or it doesnt. It will be a wipeout either way. You forgot to mention LBJ, who beat a conservative by running as a liberal. Clinton could have been beaten in 1996 by a decent candidate; the scandals were multiplying. Perot made two speeches in October about the danger of the Chicom cash flowing into the Clinton's coffers and Bubba's numbers tanked, denying him a majority. the Republicans continue to pick these weak, worthless prevaricators-- Paris hilton's Wrinkly Old White Dude is a prime example.

i'm only turning the show on now

looking forward to watching the day's events!

i know i left out lbj, i probably shouldn't have. i'll add him in, but w/the whole kennedy thing... i'll add it in, though, only b/c it makes me look stupid, too! laughing...

okay, so, i say the guy who probably has lived in about 100 houses over his lifetime, serving his country, lives in the nicest one in november...

yup, dave, it's masquerade time for the dems again. i notice they try to go as moderate republicans every halloween.

and thanks, skep, you're right, heading over to your place now. (they won't buy the rhetoric even if he gets in; the only time they have won, the economy's in the tank)...

i dunno, no nation

would've voted against lbj after that, no matter who ran... look, i'm NOT saying anything nasty about goldwater! laughing...

WHOA.

this talk about the roll call vote is getting pretty interesting now. seriously. they're talking about polling, dead heat, no biden bounce, this could be... wow. how bad is this going to get?

Roll call

You have to love the Clintons when its the Democratic Party they're aiming their Kamakaze attack at. The idea that HRC will be the nominee in 2012 if BO doesnt cut it is laughable. A large majority of the Dems hate the Clints worse than we do.

A very close election..

It's a Biden dip according to Rasmussen. He reports Obama lost two points.

Perot was definitely a factor in '92. He went nuts, got out , got back in and still pulled 19%. He probably would have done better without the August antics. That was a Bush 41 backlash pure and simple.

Virginia is looking very blue. In the senate race Warner leads Gilmore by 23%. Obama may get a coattail out of the senate candidate rather than the other way around and Virginia Beach may go blue which would just about guarantee an Obama victory.

wait, you guys, did you see

THE POLLS TODAY??

MCCAIN... IS LEADING IN GALLUP, AND THEY'RE TIED IN RASMUSSEN? ARE YOU (blipping) KIDDING ME? ON THE FIRST NIGHT OF THE CONVENTION???

ARE WE GOING TO SEE A CONVENTION DIP, TOO?
