Is the FairTax fair? Do we really need it?

fair tax

I would much rather the feds and the state cut taxes across the board instead of this new fair tax. It seems to me that it's nothing more that changing the dressing and calling it something else when ultimately, it's still the same thing.

Fairtax not same -- its a farce,

Fairtax is basically a farce.

But I would love to see it pass, farse or not.

I want to see fairtax tax -- or try to tax -- the parents of a leukemia victim 70,000 dollars for sales tax on their child's efforts to stay alive.

I want to see fairtax tax -- or try to tax - stroke victims in nursing homes with a 30,000 sales tax.

I want to see fairtax tax -- or try to tax -- the US Navy 4 billion dollars on a aircraft carrier.

I want to see you fairtax tax -- or try to tax -- the federal government 500 billion dollars.

I want to see the reaction of 38 million renters when fairtax raises their rent 40%-50.

(The tax rate can't possibly be 23%, if only because the federal government can't collect 500 billion from itself)

I want to see the reaction of 150 million people when they realize their car insurance premiums are taxed, healthy insurance premiums, all insurance premiums, are taxed 40-50%.

I want to see fairtax tax gasoline 1.00-1.50 a gallonn.

I want to see the reaction of new home industry when a fairtax tax adds 40% to the price of their product, and it destroys that industry.
