And All

The time God is good...

couldn't help myself, and I told myself. Self don't do that.

didn't work.

One of these days...

...I will be seated in your congregation...

GREAT

Good sermon Pastor. Thank you.

Good line, it's who you know....

Ok so then "who" you know is great, but if you don't act on it what good is it? Your outline got me to thinking....I have a chance at getting a move within the company which will put me into better working hours and new opportunities to expand in my field. The funny thing is, I am only being considered for the position because a really really high up big wig recommended me. If I had not pursued the relationship with the bigwig, I doubt I would be in the running for this job. Ok, Ok, I hear you all thinking I'm a brown nosing suck up -- and that may be true -- no not really, but the POINT is that it took some effort on my part to get this far.

So while my little illustration is not the greatest, I'm hoping it is a reminder that we need to daily suck up ..... oops I mean pursue a relationship with our Lord and Saviour.

I SOOOOO need that reminder. So thanks.

I don't think you......

........are a suck up. It is so much like our relationship with Christ. You could know everything there is to know about the field you are in, and still possibly go nowhere. But because you know the "RIGHT" person, you have the opportunity to go places.

Now the same with Christ. You can know the Bible from cover to cover. You can know all that the Pharisees knew, and still not know Jesus.

The thief on the cross probably knew very little about how to "be" a Christian -- but he ended up knowing our Lord and Savior and got that wonderful promise, "Today you will be with Me in Paradise".
