Comment on: The Bare Nee Cessities

In real numbers. THE TAXES!!!

Nee

Thanks for those numbers,I had no idea, good grief.

Donnie

Wish I could get all of them to show up there are three more columns!!

Nee: Specifics! Much needed facts...

Your ability to cite sources, chapter and verse, serves as well as a gold cross or wooden stake.

My thought as I read your figures turned to The Obama's gnawing demand for two trillion to hand to his cronies, left and right, to spend at the pool hall or one of Harry Reid's constituent brothels.

Did you know that Pelosi sends more than $240 million annually to her San Francisco for "government owned and subsidized housing."
You might take a look at public housing sites. New York has 118,000 "units" for those seeking government largesse.

Some of the welfare "clients" in Pelosi's district have incomes of more than $100,000 annually. You will find the fed "Section 8" program very interesting.

Laughable! The U.S. Army once stamped "section 8" on special discharges. That meant "Loony."

Nee, you've only

scratched the surface. Those numbers are only Federal taxes.

That spreadsheet doesn't include state income taxes, Social Security taxes, sales taxes, real estate taxes, gasoline taxes, liquor taxes, cigarette taxes, inheritance taxes, hotel/room taxes, car rental taxes, airport taxes, costs passed to consumers for business taxes, utility taxes, auto license "fees", and a plethora of other "fees" and taxes.

Every time a dollar bill moves from one set of hands to another, the government is in there taking a bite.

BrianR

Exactly. We're getting hosed every which way we turn.

Klem

I am sure you are correct. My husband helped with the spreadsheet and unfortunately, doesn't care much for docking it. The figures here came from the NBEA and he compiled them for me.

Indeed, rock, hard place.

Damn, Brian

Shoot me, shoot me now!
The point of the post was to show that this is the tip of the iceberg. It is astounding.

Guns!!

Don't we know it. ONE TERM.

Perhaps...

...We should start selling lil' ribbons to bring "awareness" about taxes, because We All know how successful that is.

Jam Apple

Don't be a cynic now. It's great to be able to breathe again, now that we have a black President.
It is sooo great now, that the Hollywierds with lots of money have decided to stop holding their breath and are "ready to pledge" anything for the COW since these last eight years they suffered sooo much.
Tsk, tsk. A Ribbon? How dare you not feel,er um, Feeeel the love!!
I say we make a star ribbon, just like the sneetches wore because you KNOW how unpatriotic we are being toward the COW that we must be singled out!! MWahaha. Me, my star, and my gun.

Nee

If only Alaska were located somewhere warm...

Or perhaps...

...We could walk to find a cure for "biggovernmentitis."

Walking seems to have cured Us of a lot of diseases.

Jam Apple

A walk for the cure! Turn it into a march on DC...

Thank Goodness! Mississippi Is In Last..

place.

To paraphrase King Louis in Mel Brooks' "The History of the World, Part I", "Its good to be the last."

However, BrianR is correct. This only "scratches" the surface in regards to the actual costs imposed on us by the government. And GunnyG is too kind. Instead of "hosed", I would prefer the word "scr*wed".

Wow

and that doesn't even scratch the surface
from what BrianR says!

common sense

why can't most Americans get their heads around the idea of what creates jobs? bottom line and seemingly out of the grasp of the majority...

Arik

Haha.
Well, I guess I could always move back to NC since my house is still for sale...

Jam Apple

That required a spew alert~~

Craw

Yeah!! THe date can be April 4th...the weekend of the next GOE event. I'll even get the stars, and the lawyers.

GG

My neurosurgeon BIL lives in Jackson, currently. Maybe I need to check it out?

Cindy

Yep, I know. The thing is the average joe doesn't even get it. That's why Gohmert's Tax holiday plan is so clever. If the wage earner's got an idea of what they gain by it, there would surely be a revolution!

Dave

Sigh. They just don't or pretend they don't. I think they just want things to be easy and if easy means the government becomes the vehicle, well, the "lost" money isn't a big deal to them.

Nee

No doubt, staggering, and it STILL ain't enough for these arsehelmets. Wonder if the fogging clowns have ANY idea of how much would be enough?

Clyde

Are you trying to make me laugh? You kidder, you!!

Nee

Okay, that was really eye opening.

Nee

Brian is right. At last count the city of Chesapeake VA, my home of record, had 106 taxes and fees on top of state taxation.

The state even passed a regional taxing authority of unelected members to set taxes just for Hampton Roads and Northern Va. Fortunately it was overturned by the Va Supreme Court, something about "taxation without representation". What a unique concept!

Sue

Indeed. And it IS just the tip of the iceberg.

Sarge...

Oh, I know how right Brian is. But I only posted the GDP figures because of the data released about the 4th Q and overall increases for 2008.

The doom and gloom shitt is going to become that self-fulfilling thing if businesses buy in!!

I'M. NOT. DOING. IT!!!

Nee

I am already seeing signs of a robust barter economy emerging. This is a natural bi-product of over taxation. If it ain't on the books it can't be taxed.

This explains my last physical

Last time I saw the doctor for a physical, when the nurse tried to take blood, she only got dust.
The government has bled me dry.

Who said vampires don't really exist?

The work at the IRS

Great post Nee!

Jackpine

ROTF!! Watch your back and bring the stakes.

Nee

With the state I live in in such a disarray (CA), I can hardly wait to see what is going to happen when do my taxes for 2009. In fact I don't even want to think about it. I sent in my state taxes and I got a refund, oh wait, I think I get an IOU for now. Crazy!

Sue

Sign this year's with a note:
"You owed me tax cuts not more taxes. And this is how I'll collect.

Fill out your w-4 so that you get all your money, now. Screw them!!

Nee

If I owe taxes, I am just goint to write on my forms, use the Rangel, Geithner, Daschle, etc. and all law! Ridiculous.

Can't wait to see how much porky palooza bill is going to cost tax payers.
