Comment on: Thinking It Through

Will changing your mind also change your vote or is it too late for you?

Who to vote for?

It almost certain that Obama will be able to fullfill few of his campaign promises. Or McCain for that matter if they would be honest about it. Bush is leaving them a mess.

Actually I voted for Sen. McCain in 2000 back when Team Bush/Rove scummed John in SC.

But in good conscience I cannot vote for a 72 year old man who has had such a tough life and might not serve out his term when he picked a totally unqualified woman for his VP.

Just imagine if McCain got elected and, God forbid, died or could not serve as president. The ex-mayor of Wasilla would move into the presidency and the second in command, per our Constitution, would be the House leader.

Yep, Sarah Palin and Nancy Pelosi would be the top two in command of our nation!

That scares me lots more than OBL or any terrorist!

You are fearing the wrong thing

Obama's campaign promises are part of what I fear!
And Pelosi/Reed are just as guilty as Bush & team when it comes to leaving a mess for others. In fact, more so.
As for qualifications, Sarah Palin's executive experience dwarfs Obama's. She'd run our country far better than he could. Governorship is a great training ground for the presidency. Community Organizing is not.
Many governors have served us over the years. Some well, some poorly.
Calling her "ex-mayor" is like calling Obama "ex-student".
She's the governor of a huge state! That requires a level of leadership and decision making ability that is light years ahead of the junior senator from Illinois. List and compare their accomplishments.
Joe Biden ought to scare you too. Even Obama wishes Joe weren't allowed to think for himself, let alone for our country.
You don't seem to believe that Obama will grow our government, reduce our liberties, and diminish our economic strength.
So, nothing else I say will sway your view. Sorry you see McCain as a weak vessel instead of a great American who still has years of strength and wisdom.
I see Obama as an articulate person who is dead wrong about what needs to be done, and he's totally unqualified to serve as our leader.

Obama or Palin?

Thanks Jim for your thoughtful blog. It takes courage to think a second time. Do you have any evidence to trust Obama?

Give me Palin over Obama. In Texas, they'd say obama is all hat and no cattle. He talks a good talk but has NO leadership experience. He has not championed any legislation to bring on any of the changes he wants. Palin has accomplished much as a leader in every role she has had. She's stood up to her own party and to big oil. She is a reformer with a proven record.

Please list what Obama has accomplished!

Where has he worked against the majority of his own party to unite with Republicans on anything?

What legislation has he championed that matches his rhetoric?

Heaven help us if this man becomes president.
