Thank you very much for taking the time to read it, and comment. You are the first person I've had come here, and I do appreciate it.

Please do come back, there will be much more to come!

Ye gads! you're right!

I define myself as a handsome bastardo. I am already done posting on this site, because it censored b a s t a r d.

Reality

So, my friend RD has started a blog, excellent. RD is one of the most well-read folks I know.
I firmly believe that if both sides of any issue could sit down, avoid the rhetoric, name-calling, and mis-framing the issue, progress could be made. For instance, Sen. Kennedy states that illegal aliens (that's really what they are) "..work hard, pay their taxes, and follow the rules". That would be wrong. They broke the law, cut in front of folks trying to enter this country the right way, and then compound the slight by sending billions of dollars back to Mexico and other south and central america countries. Let's follow basic first aid to slove this problem. First stop the bleeding (read as SEAL THE BORDER) Then treat the wound (read as punish any company knowingly hiring illegals, that's what they are). Then through attrition they will self-deport.
How's this sound for "election reform"? First we make it a law that in any given election year no candidate is allowed to say one word about their campaign until January 2nd of the election year. (Let me recover from New Year's Eve please). Then we move election day from November up to April 15th or so. This accomplishes two things. First, if you have to write a check to the IRS, or get a refund, that fact will be fresh in your mind when you enter the booth. Second, we only have to listen to the candidates for three and a half months. Perhaps more people will pay attention. Do you realize that by the time we cast ballots next November, we will have been listening to the candidates for three consecutive summers. Three years!!!
Okay that's enough bloviating for this post. I hope nobody fell asleep. Talk to you again soon.
