I see disbarment of Nifong, jail for the accuser, and civil action against just about anyone that can be sued before this is over. Simply dropping the charges just won't feed the bulldog at this point.

Otherwise they would have gone down. Nifong is no different than 90% of the DA's in this country. The only difference is Nifong was stupid enough to pull this on kids whose folks had the bucks to fight back.
DA's only care about getting convictions. They don't give a tinker's damn about innocence or guilt as long as they can show the electorate a list of convictions come election day. The prisons are full of poor folks. Not too many rich folks, but lots of poor folks. Why do you think that is?
Nifong was playing the race card but it looks like he drew the 'joker' instead.
