Will America Be Sacked By The Barbarian Horde?

While I strongly agree with your argument that the bill will likely create millions more Democratic voters, the situation is really worse than that. Imagine thousands of people from another country moving into your community and being allowed to vote. Within a few years they might take control of the political offices that really affect your life, city council, school boards, justice of the peace, etc. If the people are from a Muslim nation they could inject Islamic values into your schools, culture and even marriages. If the people were from a Spanish-speaking country they might require all business be done in Spanish. These local elections are usually held without regard to party affiliations. All Americans, Democrat and Republican will have the power to control their lives taken away from them by this huge influx of foreign born people. When that power is removed , everyone of them becomes a disenfranchised person.

So, the jest of my comment is don't just appeal to Republicans, appeal to Democrats, too. While they may make their national party a little stronger, at what price? No sane Democrat wants to lose control of their children's schools and their way of life just to make Ted Kenned, Nacny Pelosi, and Harry Reid amore powerful politicians.
