What is Wrong with Political Spouses?

This is what spouses vow to do. The public humiliation is the worse part. I am sure there are better times that we do not get to hear about in public because these good times are not "news worthy". Many people still find marriage to be an institution worth fighting for even when there is public humiliation. That is why people re-marry twice or even three times. In general people still believe that there are more good times in a marriage than bad times and if they stay long enough past the bad times, the good times do show up. What happens in the news is such a small part of any marriage and we should not judge the entire marriage on that one moment of public humiliation because we do not know "the rest of the story" behind closed doors.

Yes marriage is for better or worst, but publicly humilliating your spouse is uncalled for. If you are going to act stupid, be man enough to be there on your own and at least preserve what remains of your family's dignity.
