Interesting perspective.

John Paul Stevens, however, is 87 or 88 years old. Even if he'd rather die than retire under a GOP president, I'd say his time is close.

I'd sure like to see the GOP have a shot at replacing him...but you make a good point that less-than-conservative GOP presidents don't exactly have a great track record for SCOTUS appointments...which makes me worry about the McCain possibility.

Endorsements? Naw!

Mitt is an outsider trying to beat EVERY establishment there is, political, religious and social. NO ONE of these groups will endorse him because of being a Mormon.
In fact, the ONLY reason Huckabee remains in the race to pull votes from Romney is because of his biggotry concerning Mitt's religion, otherwise Romney just might beat McCain.
