the right to call witnesses. HE was given time to put a witness list together. He refused to do it in the time allowed by the Illinois Senate. He even failed to show for a hearing or two. So for him to say he is not allowed to muster a defense is a lie he is telling the media. I believe he had til last Wed. or Thurs. to submit that list, which he did not. So who's fault is that? This is all a stunt is all. Trying to make as much off it as possible before he is thrown out of office.

He is allowed only to call character witnesses . Not witnesses to defend what he's being accused of . Any court proceedings you are aloud to call , not character witnesses but witness to collaborate your defense . If his defense is he didn't try to sell a senate seat he should be able to call people up who will say that he never approached them about a sale when they spoke to him about the seat , and that's what he's not load to do.
