Thank you, Mr. President, for my Social Security handout, but...

Couldn't have said it better

myself. My thoughts exactly about the $250.00 bribery attempt. I won't spend mine on guns and ammo, but will spend it on supporting candidates I think will whup their liberal butts in 2010. The nerve of the petty little DC skanks to think we can be bought off with a paltry $250.00.

Very good post, Sir.

First of all..

THANK YOU for your 26 years of service!

You're completely right. This is a bribe. They are hanging a carrot in front of people hoping it will help them win the race. Just keep following the carrot.

$250 is a JOKE. Michelle Obama made fun of Bush's stimulus checks claiming that $600 couldn't buy you a pair of earings, but they think $250 is a good deal? Something is backwards here, and it isn't us!

bobbie

lmao! You said petty little DC skanks!

I love you!

Very clear concise

explanation of COLA and the attempts to buy votes.

Although not yet eligible for SS, I also receive a military retirement check. The military is one of the few among hundreds of government programs that actually produce a positive return on tax dollar investment.

Concur with Bobbie’s option; give the 250.00 to the conservative candidate of choice in 2010.

O'Vomit's Bribe Is to Keep Seniors....

from revolting.

Think about it. At their stage in life, Senior Citizens don't have much to look forward to (in terms of years). At 58, I know this to be true.

But perhaps these Seniors might want one last "adventure"?

INTHENOW and Gray Ghost...

ITN: "The military is one of the few...government programs that...produce a positive return on tax dollar investment."

Yeah, but even at that, they didn't exactly give us the full free medical and dental care for life for us and all our dependents if we served 20 years that at least I was promised when I signed up, now, did they?

GG: Well, "youngster," I've got about 10 years on you, so everyday I wake up and not too much hurts or it doesn't hurt too much is another "adventurous" day. Of course, after being married TWICE, now having a partner who's almost 30 years younger than me is also a daily "adventure," if you know what I mean.

BTW, remember, you know you're getting old when you wake up in the morning and THREE places hurt but you can only think of a good reason for TWO of them. Ha-ha!
