There's a possiblity it won't even get to that point. The Constitution forbids a Senator who was in office at the time of a Senate pay raise from installed in the Cabinet.

As we speak, legions of Democratic are trying to manuveur their way around the clause.

This could get very interesting indeed.

Thanks for your comment. When were the Clintons ever stopped by the law? The idea of Hillary becoming Secretary of State and potentially using Bill as a "roving" ambassador reminds me of a great line from history.

When Congressman Thaddeus Stevens (R-PA) heard that President Lincoln had appointed the reputedly dishonest Simon Cameron Ambassador to Russia, he remarked "Tell the Czar to bring in his things at night."

Beware, host countries of Bill. Remember what happened to the White House furnishings?
