Editor & Publisher Hails Find of AP's 'Capt. Jamil' of '6 Burning Iraqis' Fame, Taunts Bloggers

It is indeed a non-story

Although I hope people will own up to the fact that Hot Air ran with it first, despite having even less sourcing than the AP.
Can we also have a moritorium on any legitimate journalist quoting Drudge?

No one really quotes Drudge?

Rush Limbaugh frequently does, but no one listens to him right?

Drudge often picks up wire stories and re-edits to put a spin on them. In 2005 he glommed onto a story about John Kerry and Richard Lugar outing a CIA operative - it's complicated and untrue, but the the salient point is that he completely omitted Lugar's name from the story. And because it resembles the AP story, why not quote Drudge?

Another story Drudge ran with also involved Kerry, and his "faking" war footage in Vietnam. It had already been debunked, but Drudge ran it anyway and the next day it was all over Fox News and Limbaugh.
