Invite a liberal eco-freak over to help kill the cow, see how fast they get running the other direction.
You have a great day and a grand barbecue!

Woo-hoo!!
Is this fun or what?!?
Already drive an Expedition-just spent $80.00 fillin' 'er up at Sam's today. But then, my husband is president of a fuels company so he appreciates my patronage...
Think I'll use the Expedition to get to the mailbox this once. Or maybe even twice-if the mail hasn't arrived yet!
Just finished a BEEF taquito. And will grill steaks tonight for din-din.
Another idea to celebrate Earth Day: Use the biggest wad of TP possible, every time the need arises. That way we can grow more trees to make still more TP.
And ignore the wackos. When *they're* willing to live in caves and scrounge for berries and use pinecones or leaves for TP, maybe I'll listen. On the other hand, it sure is funny to watch them go through their gyrations!

Hmmmm......just had a crazy idea. You know how schools will do walkathons to get students to raise money?
Maybe next year I can kick off a driveathon....get everyone to contribute as much money as I can arrange for the event, which will be driving our vehicles around the city for as many hours as we can stand on Earth Day. Put some banners on top of our vehicles that read EARTH DAY DRIVEATHON - SPEED UP GLOBAL WARMING!
LOL, I can see the expressions on the faces of the eco-freaks now.

Ok, today I did #1: drove my minivan for three hours. And I wore my top UN slogans T-shirt, which counts for #2. Tonight, it's fajita night at our household, so #3 is in the works. As for #4....I have to wait until this summer, when I see my little sister....BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Green - NOT
I am getting to hate the word green so much that I might spray my beautiful green lawn with nasty chemicals to kill it - after I have spread so many nasty chemicals to make it green. Then I think I will cut what is left with my old smoke bellowing lawn mower and then burn what remains in order to make more nasty smoke. Then I will sleep really well.

Funny, funny CT!
Enjoyed all the comments from various posters! I told my son to gun it at every light (he is learning to drive now) just to use up a little more gas. Tonight we will leave lights on all over the house, and steaks/burgers on the grill sound wonderful.
Just a side note here. I got this hippy dippy catalog from Boulder, CO featuring all sorts of tshirts with slogans qbout global warming. I emailed the company and told them that when they make a shirt that says, "Global Warming: Just Another Bull S*** Hoax" that I would consider supporting their business. Fastest way off a mailing list ever, I kid you not.
For those interested, Brett Bozell's group (MRC.org) is offering the book, "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming" by Christopher Horner for a donation to their organization. Definitely worth it!

I made a funny wallpaper for my computer making fun of flexfuel and how it's going to eat up our food on a global scale. Wish i knew how to post it here, but you can email me and I'll forward it to you

What is especially nasty about earth day is that it was started by Ira Eichorn (sp?). This man murdered his girlfriend, put her in a trunk, put the trunk in a closet and then went to europe for YEARS. How disgusting is that!

G'day CF!
For Erf day, I chose to stay on the planet, ingest oxygen, emit CO2, drive to work, the store and the Pizza Pub, and generally do what I normally do while I'm here on God's green and blue earth.
God bless this planet You made for us, and thank You! It is beautiful and bountiful, delightful and yet dangerous, home and yet not home.
God bless these people who respect what You have made, but understand the difference between truth and falsehoods, conservatism and communism, liberty and oppression.
With thanks for light and laughter, Friar, I remain
Yours for the Foundation (1 Cor. 3:11) of the Founders,

Thanks for your post!
I got off to a late start (wasn't really paying attention till the day arrived), but am planning a really wonderful Earth Day next year!
I think I'm going to get every conservative and anti-ecofreak person I can find in my area and organize the "First Annual Johnson County Earth Day Driveathon". We will fill our tanks, put banners on our vehicles, and nonstop drive around the city all day, paying close attention to drive multiple times each around every Earth Day gathering and celebration we can find.

Of course, I am sure the next big hullaballoo is awaiting us around the corner. I shudder to think what it may be.

Akagi
Yes, let's compare.....Let's compare the atrocities the Japanese committed against the Chinese, Koreans, and Americans during World War II.
Let's compare the number of murders committed by Mao Tse Tung against his own people during the Cultural Revolution. I believe, if you added up the brutal murders ordered by Mao during his glorious cultural revolution, you would find a number that vastly exceeds the murder rate in America since then.
Like it or not, Akagi, American culture, like the Western European culture from which it sprang, is based heavily upon christian ideals, which places a high value upon human life.
In the Far East, there is no such phenomenon. The powers that be in Asia were only to willing to kill and torture and slaughter their subjects at the slightest provocation.
In Japan, if you were walking down a street, and you accidentally tripped, fell against a Samurai and in the process touched the hilt of his sword, he would pull his blade and kill you there on the spot. Is that the humanity you point to, Akagi?
