You are not wrong, BMU! There are also has to be so many little strings and veins that run through the spendulous/porkulous/crapsandwich for any municipality or state that accepts this funding. And we must all remember, there is no money, until they print it! It has also been reported that Rep. Clyburn (sp) inserted a provision that state legislatures can go around the Governor to accept the money. Can he get away with that provision? He is also on record calling those Governors Racists should they not accept this recovery/reinvestment in their states. Good post, BMU!

"RRRRRRRRAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!"
Harrumph. The whole bill from stem to stern is waste and fraud. What isn't going down the toilet is going as a payoff to his political confederates. J'accuse!
Riddle me this - at the rate things are going, what'll be in single digits first: Obama's approval rating, or the Dow Jones? A couple of us at the office are thinking of starting a dead pool on when the stock market will go below 7,000. I've got next Tuesday, 2:15 Eastern.

among those mayors...
Was the wonderful "Luke Steelerstahl" the most embarrassing mayor ever for the city of Pittsburgh.
I hope Pittsburgh doesn't get a DIME. We don't deserve it! Ravenstahl just dropped $252,500 on 250 trash cans to be scattered around Pittsburgh with HIS name on them. $1,010 per trash can at the expense of the state aka taxpayers.

Maybe we
should ask other countries to help step in and say NO!!!! Because he is not listening to the public. The more people found out about the bill, the more people distrusted this whole scenario. Russia has been voicing it's opinion, and I have heard China also. It will take much more to get to Obama's thick skull.
great post!

LA Mayor
Mayor Villaraigosa of Los Angeles was there with his hand out. What a dork. Always getting that photo op. Of course that became his new job after he got caught having the affair and then of course the wife divorcing him. Yes, please give him some money.
I don't live in LA County, but I see enough of this guy, who by the way is running again and does want to run for Governor. Oh yeah!
"If a federal agency proposes a project that will waste that money, I will not hesitate to call them out on it and put a stop to it. I want everybody here to be on notice that, if a local government does the same, I will call them out on it and use the full power of my office and our administration to stop it."
Of course this is for you mayors, not myself who continue to waste money.

No, you are not wrong.
You're abslutely right. I expect most or all of this money that is being ripped out of our hands will be wasted. And Obama's going to moniter it and stop any hanky panky? Everybody that believes that, please raise your hand. We have a chicago thug in the Whitehouse with a cabinet of more Chicago thugs. If we expect them to do anything honest, moral or right we have our heads in a dark place. This giant mistake the country has made is going to haunt us for a long long time.

If you feed 'em they will follow: Stalin
Our founders spoke to these issues, of course, of how smooth talkers end as tyrants. No free people give up their liberties knowingly, but the carrot with the string attached leads them to do so unwittingly.
Certainly the new President and new Congress are bringing change to Washington. Not a change of direction, but a dramatic acceleration in the the wrong direction.

BMU, right again
All of the fraud and corruption that this bill will fund will be divided into two distinct categories. That on the left will be officially sanctioned, while that on the right (or by anybody who dares criticize The Golden Child) will be hammered.
