Term Limits
Mike's comments on term limits for politicians makes perfect sense to me. Why should politicians be allowed to stay in office year after year after year when they don't produce results the American people are happy with. I think it would be great to get some new blood into these offices along with new ideas every six years or so. It's about time elected officials started working for the people instead of just for themselves. If we can,t get term limits then maybe we should get piece work politicians that only get paid for what they do. I, along with most hard working citizens, only get paid for what I do and if I mess up I'm out of a job and won't be back year after year after year. If we limit the terms we can keep the Government more in check so I'm for it!

Term Limits
I agree with Mike about needing term limits. When the Senators and Congressmen are in office for so many years they become too cozy with the special interest groups and start to work for them as opposed to working for the people! When new people are electeced into office they may have a project they want to accopmplish for their constituents back home and then at the end of their term return back to the states that they came from and pursue a career there! New people and fresh ideas are needed instead of politics as usual by the Beltway Gang!
This last pork bill is way over the top - the chance that they waited for to get every little pet project they ever wanted thru with no problems!
Maybe they shouldn't be allowed to take campaign contributions from corporations and groups that benefit from any bill that is sponsored by the person recieving the contribution?!?!?!
Why do you have to be rich to get elected anyway?
