Since my whole family of men have been or are Marines at this moment, this story has enraged me beyond belief. Count me in. I'll do my part.

My nephew will be deployed to Afghanistan (his second tour if there) or Iraq. He served in the Marines for 6 years, then joined a special ops group in December. He is in training right now and will be deployed in March.

I served with everything from CT rich kids, with famous fathers, to guys whose recruiter was a judge in NJ. You find Marines in the d&mnedest places.

The Marine Corps fosters a sense of brotherhood and belonging, something I suspect you were seeking in your early life. Councils like those in Berkeley and Toledo don't seem to understand that what they do to one of us, they do to us all. They also fail to recognize, IMO, the pride of the American people in our armed forces.

I really wouldn't want to live my life as utterly disconnected from reality as these so-called leaders.
