War in Iraq

It seems to me that most of the fighting in Iraq is between the Sunnis and the Shiites, and has nothing to do with terrorism. There are terrorists there also killing Americans and other Westerners, BUT the battle is mostly a sectarian feud which has been going on for about 1400 years.

You are correct , of course, that the Sunnis and Shites are enemies and love to knock each other off. Still, with the Iranian Qud , Syrian militia, The PALS and other Arab no-goods, the IEDS alone seem to be coming from other than , say, Sadr, or old Saddam allies. Interesting that the Iraquis have tried to close their borders . They must think that the 'others' are more than just the two 'denominations.'
