Would that include voluntary "shacking-up" with an abuser that results in the termination of her pregnancy? Drinking alcohol or smoking crack that results in the termination of her pregnancy?

Could said abuser impale the fetus via her abdomen and only be found guilty of practicing medicine without a license? Had I been Andrea Yates defense attorney, my whole defense would have been that she simply performed abortions without a medical license.

So now an unborn child is legally protected from everyone but its mother? Only after it's born, is it then protected from her?

That's an amazing amount of power to place into the hands of a falable, mortal human being while they are undergoing a huge hormonal swing.

Wouldn't the stupidity of this arrangement be obvious if the father had nine months after the birth to terminate the same child? Wouldn't that be an equivalent "murder of convenience" (which is what abortion really is) in every respect?

Wouldn't it be simpler to just defend the unborn from every other human being including the mother in utero and be done with it?
