Toby, you're spot on. Entitlements are painful enough, but it's the *sense* of entitlement that's especially galling. It's everywhere, even in the stores, on the roads, and in the home.

The thumbs in the eye of daily life are usually those people who feel entitled to do whatever they please, regardless of the rules of the road or the local norms of manners and decency. Decent, courteous folk often go unnoticed.

Many times, entitlement advocates behave in "entitled" ways. Somehow, it is their right to do one thing, or another thing is owed to them. Your rights are irrelevant in their world.

Worse yet, those receiving entitlements, those at the tip of the Gimme spear, have a behavior code of their own.
