Liberals are basically conditioned to buy democrat like other people buy Coca Cola. If I buy Coke, it will make be popular. If I buy democrat it will make me a good person. Everything is affective connotation and emotion. The Actual deeds of democrats don't matter, as long as the advertizing makes them feel good.
