Choosing Well

Your blog really underscores the importance of choosing well in this upcoming election. We need a president who will support the importance and structure of the family, and not tax it out of existance. Little Thorin deserves a free nation to live in, one with clean air and water, and plenty of food and good health care. He deserves a world of hope. He is blessed with parents and friends and family who love him.

Welcome, Thorrin.

all grown up

The little tyke had thick curly hair and a pleasant disposition. He smelled alot of coffee that morning (we all had our share) except for his mom who apparently got nothing to get her through... Hopefully, no spontaneous cold shivers whenever he smells coffee-breath for the rest of his life. I've been so blessed by my friendship with these people, and I pray that their new son is happy and healthy.

His Dad said "i'm getting more sympathetic with republicans as I get older" after that quip about McLame. The world needs people who stand for their family, their freedom and human rights. Not alot of grandstanding about entitlement, race-hustling, class envy and high minded theories that don't acknowledge human failings. Perhaps, he's growing up, and the gloss that makes so many "progressive" concepts is wearing off. It's hollow under there, and you can't feed your kids, keep a roof over their heads, or clothes on their backs with rhetoric.

In the words of Jeremy Pivens you gotta "quit whining and get in the game". No-one other than yourself is responsible for the needs of your family and children. That's what growing up teaches you. And don't give me any namby-pamby "they need a help-up, not a hand out" bill sheel (hee hee). Don't hamstring people by doing for them what they ought to be doing for themselves, and don't do it for me either.

thanks for teaching us so much, Thorin. You've got a big world out in front of you. go grab it.

Give the Glory to God

No matter what happens in politics, those of us who hold God at the center of our lives have nothing to fear from politicians. We will give to the government what it demands, and give to God what really matters. All parties have their short comings and corruption. That's all beyond our control. What's most important is holding our families close as those relationships are too precious to be careless.
