And quite frankly I am getting really tired of hearing how we look to others around the world. Excuse me, we are the United States. Focus on our country, not France nor anybody else right now.

Obama is president, not the king of the world. And really needs to wake-up, step into reality and go and find some common sense. Which he more than likely will not be able to find, unless of course it is in the pork pile bill.

I think what really bothered me about the closure was the entire process. I understand that Obama campaigned that he would close it and so did McCain. But, if you sign the executive order to close it, then have a plan. I understand that people do want it closed, but as I said, have a plan.

When the announcement/executive order was signed. I thought that he would be saying where they were going. He is keeping the promise, but have a plan and show me step 2.

over 90% of those charged with terrorism in Afghanistan were picked up locals rather than our troops. Thus, imprisoning these people in Gitmo is basically pronouncing a verdict and punishing people who could very well be innocent.

The documentary "Taxi To The Dark Side" documents one such prisoner who was turned in by Afghanis who were the real terrorists while the prisoner died in a US run prison in Afghanistan. This prisoner was beaten to death. Had he survived, he would have to have his legs amputated because of the beatings he suffered at the hands of American troops.

BTW, new book out by an Army interrogator testifies that many Afghans and others joined the fight against us because of how we treated these prisoners.

There must be a vetting to separate the wheat from the chaff.There are many there who were captured on the battlefield and can rot till they die for all I care.
