So Really, do Chicken's Fly?

Yeah, they really do. They don't fly very far and they don't fly very well, but they can fly. I know because we used to raise them by the thousands. One day a neighbor was in our yard visiting when one of our leghorn roosters took flight. The neighbor's German Shorthair saw a golden opportunity, gave a mighty leap, and picked the chicken right out of the air. The last we saw of Foghorn Leghorn was the furious kicking of his feet as they protruded from the side of the shorthair's mouth.
