Frankly speaking...
Barney Frank is pulling a Biden: letting the secrets out in advance of the victory, giving ammunition to the GOP.

Carl - they can't keep a secret
Just like kids before Christmas, the anticipation is more than they can stand! Biden can hardly wait to have a few good international incidents to wade into, Franks is practically gleeful in predicting a dire future for productive citizens, and Obama has visions of sugarplums as he explains his spread the wealth dream for the masses.
I pray good Americans are wide awake and understand that while they may not be "rich", they still believe in the American dream, and do not want it defined by a piddly little $1200 check that the government decides is what the dream is worth.

The solution to everything in the world is to spend spend spend. Or in Barney Frank's case as well, to eat as much as you want without gaining weight (because that is on his Christmas wish list as well.)
You stated spot on that he is one of the ones responsible for this mess and he thinks the solution is to make it worse because there are plenty of wealthy Americans that can bail him out yet again!
I am not for another stimulus check. I am for CUTTING SPENDING. If they want to reinvest money in the economy, start going down the list of earmarks and DROP THEM. There are THOUSANDS of them that are useless and can get private funding.
Like the $450K earmark to plant flowers at the Capitol Building. We the people own those flowers!

Barney Frank's Frank Warning
Here's what strikes me the most...have you noticed how many rich Democrats there are? Many of these hedge fund guys on Wall Street are filthy rich. I keep wondering why so many of them vote Democrat. You know why?? They don't pay taxes !! No matter how rich they are, they set up their foundations and trusts to avoid taxes, and then donate to liberal causes like the Woods Foundation, and alleviate their misplaced white guilt. Their taxes will never be paid, just yours and mine, because we are not quite filthy rich enough. So people like us end up paying for the entitlements that they vote for.
And you're right Cindy, the whole premise takes away the concept of working hard, doing well, employing other hard workers....because you'll be penalized if you do!

Let's hope the RICH wake up
I find it extremely funny that the RICH, the Hollywood 'elite' who are all way over that $250,000.00 tax bracket, are some of the most vocal supporters of Ba'rack Obama. They're the one's that will be shelling out more money to pay those increased taxes Obama has promised. Plus it will filter to the poor again as well to be the one's paying the most.
How blind can they, the Rich, be? Obama is coming after their money so he can give it to the poor and lazy so they will continue to keep voting for Obama and the Socialist crowd.
What FOOLS we have in this Nation. And Barny Frank....what a joke, a bad joke played upon the American People.

Am. Sweetheart - Frank's reminder
Thanks for stopping by - about your correction: hey, it could be a hole in the wall. The one with our finger in it, holding back the flood of unnecessary spending! (Sorry, not so funny, after all....)
Looking at your $450K figure for flowers at the Capitol...it just reminds me of the stink they are making about $150K for Palin's campaign wardrobe...equity? At least clothes don't die. Then, I remember back when McCain brought up the earmark issue in one of the debates, and Obama's response was something like, "15 billion sounds like a lot of money, but in the big picture of the federal budget, it's only a small %age..." So, let's see. 150K is too much for clothes, 450K is just about right for flower, and 15 Billion is only a tiny fraction if it refers to earmarks, so...no worries!
Be afraid, people -- GET OUT THE MCCAIN VOTE!

Kathy -the very rich Democrats
You make a good observation - yes, how do the down-trodden stomach it? Kennedy, Kerry, Edwards, Clinton x 2, Obama, et.al...they are all extremely wealthy. Hey, I like rich people. I would like to be one, so I have no problem with their wealth. What I always wonder about it is how they manage to pretend they are "for" the underclass - when their big donors are certainly not from that class. And why? Because their policies DO NOT BENEFIT the poor...they know that the promise of a little $1200 check here and there looks great to them, and costs relatively little. In return, the enact policies that benefit the elite, like themselves, change the governmental structure of our country, and institutionalize socialist economic approaches which entrench them as the ruling class, and the poor/middle class as the "ruled". The Hollywood types are the useful idiots - they are being used to achieve the goal, but if it is achieved, they will quickly lose their ability to speak freely. If they were a tad more observant while visiting Cuba and Venezuela, they'd already know that.
A question for Obama - okay, let's give you the premise, which I still challenge, that your tax cuts will help 95% of American people. What does your economic plan do to help people rise to the level of making 250,000 a year?

bpeters - Hollywood's useful idiots
I know this term is thrown around a lot, maybe too much, but it so fitting. They are being used to great effect in the "ends justify the means" tactics currently employed by the Democrat party in their quest for class warfare and media manipulation. Once that is complete, they will eliminate freedom of expression, and the once-darlings of the Dem party, the pets of the politicians, will find themselves shunned, and used for their true purpose: cash cows.
Armchair psychology: they so want to be relevant in some way other than entertainment, that there heads are turned if someone actually pays attention to what they say about anything. A national politician pays attention, they open their wallets, and think they have influence. The politician prolongs that impression. Each uses the other. The end comes when one achieves world power, like the office of POTUS. Especially one with the ideas of Obama - just look at other socialist-minded countries. Too bad these Hollywood guys and gals didn't study their history.

GunnyG - if it walks like a duck....
...and talks like a duck, it's probably a duck.
You're right(again!)today - and probably lots of other days, too. The Obama team is clearly announcing their plans - and when questioned, they just tell people, "OH,no...eh, uh, what we were referring to was _________ (fill in the blank). The Republicans are once again waging a campaign of distraction and smear tactics."
Don't be fooled by this, America! After you hear this response a dozen times, doesn't your gut tell you it's BS?
Good historical allusion, Gunny.

Some more words of wisdom from Barney Frank - NOT! I wish he would lose and get kicked out and have to go home. Or someone kidnap this guy and take him away and never bring him back.
As for Hollywood and the really wealthy. An article I read years ago, a lot of these people are not even registered to vote. I also had two friends who were assistants to Hollywood people. They supported John Kerry in the 2004 election and guess what, they did not vote for him. Not a scientific pole, just some words to pass a long.
And don't forget, many have off shore accounts that they put their money in. We wouldn't want to be too "patriotic" and pay taxes!

Who votes for this clown anyway? Jeez.
These guys with the offshore accounts - I'm fairly certain I have heard Obama proclaim that he will make sure these avenues are closed when he is in office. Oh well, I don't have any overseas accounts, and I pay taxes, so I'm pretty dang patriotic already.

I still would like to know who votes for this yokel heads. Murtha better lose his seat. How much more damage can that man do?
I don't live in MA, but it would be great to see Barney lose his seat. I am sure if any of them lose, the will demand recounts. Or then all of sudden voter fraud and voter registration will come into play. Not now of course. All of the attacks on ACORN are voter surpression! Please!
No off shore accounts here. Pay my taxes. Hey actually paid my student loans and mortgage on time.
