Massachusetts: Fascism=1 Democracy=0

What a lot of whining

Honestly now, what is your problem? Conservatives have been saying for years that these things should be up to the legislatures and not the courts...so BANG! The legislature says gay marriage is fine, and now you don't like it!

Tough.

The "fascist" thing is too funny for words. Go google the term "Godwin's Law" and read the definition at Wikipedia, and maybe you will see why such rampant hyperbole makes you look silly. Just a little advice.

celtic-dragon

So what part of "let the people decide" confuses you? I wish I were being hyperbolic. Don't put words in conservative mouths- Conservatives have always battled legislating from the bench. It is not the job of the Judiciary to make laws- only to rule on their constitutionality. I understand we live in a republic and utilize representative government, but there are means set aside when the will of the people is thwarted as was done here. I would have no problem if this decision were brought about through due process. Do you live in Massachusetts? Then you'd know that the Democrat-run legislature has had its own way for years stifling initiative after initiative. Death Penalty, Tax-Rollbacks, etc. now Homosexual Marriage. The courts have run rampant in Massachusetts from busing, to this sorry mess. I'll give you the fascist thing= maybe a little too "liberal" (pardon the pun) use of the word here. But I don't need to check wikipedia for a definition of moron= celtic-dragon- you're a splendid example.

Oligarchy.

As another resident of this hellhole, I concur with you, and was equally distraught when we got screwed over by a bunch of cowards afraid to be called homophobes by those fascists in the homosexual lobby.

Oh, and celtic, in case you're wondering, the tactics of the homosexual lobby are fascistic in origin. They have used out renegade court's decision to force public school citizens to read the homosexual supporting children's book, King and King. They fabricate hate crimes out of thin air in order to cry "homophobia!" and, even after they are exposed for the liars they are, they say "but the problem is very real!" Back to the endless screeching of "homophobia," they view even an initiative to put the vote on the ballot as hompophobia.

That being said, our legislature is corrupt. You know all those idiots trying to pass amnesty in the Senate? Take that bull-headed abandonment of the people, switch nearly everyone over to the Democratic party, multiply by 10, and you have the Massachusetts legislature. They have no accountability to anyone. When Romney vetoed them, the best that can be said on most things is that they had to super-majority it.

A legislature with no accountability is as corrupt as any dictatorship. We don't have a democracy in Massachusetts, we have an oligarchy.

Brian K & Augsal

Brian K your comment was such fun to read, I had to laugh I hope that was what you were hoping for. Seriously though, once I had finished laughing at their actions/corruption within which is so obvious. I was appalled at the repercussions as pointed out by Augsal and yourself.

Would it have been such a bad thing to let the people choose? They were afraid and did everything to stop this.

Just like in England Tony Blair is trying to force things through the back door and taking all steps to avoid referendums on major issues.

Some of our leaders have more power than sense. They are afraid of doing what is right because they have too many hands in the wrong pockets.

Tony Blair we will miss you, NOT! I can't wait for the time when his face disappears from my tv screen! His legacy unfortunately will live on. Sorry my American friends, seems like we are all in the same boat afterall.

Brian K

Thank you for your supportive comments and insight. As celtic-dragon missed the point, as usual with Dems/Liberal/Leftists,that the legislature didn't do its job as elected officials. The abrogated their responsibility for $$$$ and position and out of fear. You are absolutely right we do live in an oligarchy. Maybe a good assignment for celtic- look up the meaning of the word oligarchy. Massachusetts is a perfect example.

Mr, Alexander

Nice to hear from you again. You are so right, but I will always like Tony Blair for his steadfast support during this post 9-11 world. He actually articulates the war better than our own President- I will be sorry to see him go.

Augsal

Thanks for the comment at my blog and the positve feedback. I need to do some updating, admittedly. In any event, I hope you found the articles interesting, and I also hope to hear from you again.

Yours, aye
