Bail Out, Rescue, or Corporate Welfare Disguised as a Crisis?

Good Analysis

Hey Nonny. Good analysis. I have been giving this topic considerable thought, as many of us have been over the past week or so. As you are no doubt aware by now, the dems were not able to pass this even as the majority. In fact, 12 out of the 37 dem members who crafted this abomination voted against it! I think some in Congress are looking at this in on of three ways: 1. it is a bad idea 2. it is something they should not rush into or 3. both. The markets will accept a great deal. It may crash for a while, but it always recovers and commerce continues. Things get worse when the government gets involved. Most financial historians agree that Roosevelt's interference lengthened and deepened the Great Depression. We could be headed for a similar fate, especially when you dump 50% more cash into the system than currently exists. This is a recipe for disaster -something like adding 1 cup of salt to a recipe instead of 1 teaspoon - at least you won't get goiter. The more I look at this the more I think the government should not touch this problem with a 17,714,400 foot pole. (distance from Seattle to Miami:))
