I enjoyed reading your article about the rampant liberalism at IU and I totally agree with you. Furthermore, I always felt that the sentiment you descrided above was and is not unique to IU, but rather an epidemic that infects most of the colleges in the US. The supposed "literati" and their minions of liberal minded students were and are everywhere and conservatives weren't allowed a voice, in the classroom and sometimes among peers, because we were deemed as fools and idiots for our stances. The fact that left-wing extremist (they were extremist then and are more so now) wouldn't even listen to conservative view points shows how far they have strayed for reality. I thought honest discussion was the only way to respect the truth... apparently not. What disturbed me the most, as you stated above, is that an institution that is supposed to promote open discussion (about anything) was more closed off to open discussion than some many highschools. Where is the university's ideal of higher learning now? It was sucked with their heads and there is no need for me to tell you where their heads are.
