The Ease of Discerning the Patriotic from the Un-Patriotic/Lovers from Siblings

A very good piece.

Your explaination of patriotism is very perceptive.

I would disagree though with your assertion taht liberal love themselves.

I disagree. I think they hate themselves but can't admit it. That hatred gets directed outward and manifests itself in such destructive ideas that are a reflection of their own self immolation.

I would also add that I wish as a society we were more inclined to call out unpatriotic behavior and label it for what it is. If liberals were tolerated less with their antiamericanism they would be less vocal about it.

That wouldnt make it go away but at least I wouldn;t have to listen to them.

you are right Prysson, they do hate

themselves. They are obsessed with themselves, at least, how they are perceived by others.

Patriotism is not Blind Allegiance

And that's what you espouse: Blind allegiance to a government who, in your lemming-like way of thinking, can do no wrong.

Patriotism is standing shoulder to shoulder with your fellow countrymen to uphold and defend the very fabric of your community, starting at the local level, and continuing on up to the national level.

Our community is rooted in The Constitution. We all agreed to build a new society based on individual liberty and social responsibility.

Brave Americans do not attack those smaller and weaker than they, unprovoked. Cowardly Americans do. Cowards like George Bush and his entourage of NeoCons.

The patriotic thing to do is to stand up and speak out against this cowardly and unconstitutional act of aggression.

What you describe as "patriotism" sounds very much like the "patriotism" of 1930s Germany.

You would've made Hitler proud.
