I've taken the time today to read this post and your previous two. Excellent and expository. I printed them to pdf documents to have on file for quick reference.

Decentralizing power is the surest way to limit the ability of the corrupt and more importantly, to restrict the actions of those who may truly believe they mean well but do nothing more than meddle and eviscerate individual freedoms from the people.

Independence was not merely a declaration of America as a sovereign land. Within its text is the inescapable declaration of personal independence. How many today are thoroughly enslaved to government by the regulatory agencies, by the savagely applied interstate commerce clause, even by welfare, and a seemingly infinite host of other contrivances of tyranny?

Great work, keep it up. We need this sort of history in schools.
