So that is why Joe Biden is such a jerk. He finished in the bottom half of his class. Us poor conservatives did a little better. For me it was top 20% in nursing school and top 5% in college, and finishing grad schol in a similar way....working fulltime and after raising 4 kids as a single mom. It helps that I have a supporting hubby. I also had a need scholarship in the 70s, one of 8 kids of a firefighter. Joe is arrogant and my dog is smarter than he is.

Yesterday's Chicago Tribune carries this "letter" from one A. Hart of Forest Park (last item):

On my way to lunch recently, I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read "Vote Obama; I need the money." I laughed. In a restaurant my server had on an "Obama 08" tie. Again I laughed. Just imagine the coincidence. When the bill came, I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Barack-Obama-redistribution-of-wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need—the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight. I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful. At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment, I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more. I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.



I guess the waiter just doesn’t understand why he should give up his hard-earned money to the needy! And to think, he supports Obama. Great letter but surprised it actually was printed.

Living one handout to the next is no way to live. Unfortunately many people do just that, we have families who for generations have lived that way and they are happy. I just don’t get it, go out get a job and be productive. They would sooner sit home then get a job and be proud.

I'm with you on the guns thing. Down here in eastern KY it's not likely these people are going to give up guns without a fight. Their guns mean more to them than a lot of things. Not only because of the 2nd Amendment but these people hunt for deer. They need to, a lot of them to feed their families. There are many poor people down here who rely on the wilderness for food.

Everyone down here has guns, lots of them. And, they are willing to shoot anyone coming onto their property they don't know. It's a fact you can rely on. Their property, their crops, their herds are their livelihood and they don't abide strangers about because of theft.

God help the brown shirts/KGB who show up down here is all I can say.

Gos and I have no subscriptions to any of these mags like Newsweek, Time, etc. nor any of the liberal newspapers. We do not watch any of the MSM. But we need to go after the sponsors for these lying talking heads. GE is one who is the major supporter of MSNBC and NBC.

These media outlets are already starting to die on the vine, but their ideology is more important to them than money. It's unbelievable.

The Gray Lady is going down the tubes too, but continues on its' destructive path of promoting its' liberal agenda. I guess they will just have to die away with their "principles".

So I do think it is already happening, but will take time.

There are several TV shows I don’t watch and movies I don’t see because of the actors in them. If we all get together we could make a difference.

Spent to hours on the phones for the RNC yesterday, will do another 2 hours today. calling local folks I only had 2 Obamites.

Sadly one was older gentlemen that professed he used to be libetarian, but was so disgusted with Bush that he wanted Obama, Said O is the only one saying Paygo, Pay as you go budgeting. I spent about 30 minutes talking with him, explaining the difference between the aprroaches.

At the end he said "I wish i'd know that before i sent my ballot in."

I said "well sir we look forward to earning your vote next time have a wonderful day"

i live in california, so I was suprised to see the level of support, granted I was calling (R) registered absentee voters, a few voiced discontent but many voiced their concern over Obama and how they were tellign their neigbors.

That's the issue folks, getting the word out about or ideas. right now its about mac and O but in 2 days it will be about conservaties and fascist liberals.

Your right about boycotting. But we, somehow, need to organize with a mass effort. Where thousands, if not millions, work in unison on targeted products. We need to do more than Not Watch some of Liberal TV news channels or Not subscribe to the news papers.

We need to scan the newspapers and TV channels and write down every product that is advertised in them. Then contact the companies making these products. Send them a letter saying that we are no longer going to by their product as long as they advertise on such and such programs or newspapers. And tell them why!

I think if we all stuck to this and followed through with action. Not just talking about it. We would have a tremendous effect.

We would have to keep it up until the various companies would see a huge drop in sales. And the TV and newspapers lose their advertising money.

What you said above is what I expect too. I read the Fairness Doctrine is one of the very first orders of business. High taxes on guns and ammo - yes. We were told in the letter that KY has some of the most inexpensive energy costs due to having so much coal, but if BHO does what he says he's going to do, the cost of our energy with coal would make it impossible for most people in KY to pay their energy bills to heat their houses.

Apparently not. I don't think the people who are voting for him have even taken a look at this policies. They choose to believe in the Messiah's mantra of hope and change. It seems they don't ask, "what change and how it will affect me".

Our Energy Co-op even provided us with post cards to send to our reps and senators over this coal issue. I filled mine out and sent them on.

The Energy Co-op stated quite clearly that the average family would not be able in any way whatsoever be able to afford their monthly energy bill. It would be utterly disastrous for so many families here in KY.

And yes, xpressit I have noticed that the FannyMae/Mac investigation is off the radar. It will never be investigated and the dems will skate once again. Does anything ever stick to them. That rep with the $90,000 in the freezer is actually running for office again in this district, and most likely will win. If that were a repub, he would be sitting in federal prison right now.

Notice in Ovomits comments, when he says regarding some of his new programs. In order to receive benefits they MUST do x amount of work for the government? It wouldn't be long before any pay or benefits disappear and they would be required (forced) to work.

Of course DailyKos and HUffPo would not be included in this legislation. If they take TH off then they would have to take off one of their left wing sites. But, there are so many left wings sites they could remove one that is read very little and say now it's fair.

Who knows. This whole thing will be brought to the SCOTUS in a couple years if they try this and the SCOTUS will reverse this impingement on free speech.

Blaming Conservatives for JFK's assassination is about as irresponsible as one can get. Perhaps you had better look in the mirror to see the hate in your own eyes and face.

I usually consider people who are telling others they are doing something, like spewing hate, are projecting their own actions onto someone else. Look it up in the DSM. You might find yourself in there.
