I was glad to have stumbled across this post. I have only recently even heard of the Emergent Church, and just in the last few days have tried to do a little research on it. I was very disturbed by what I found. Do you think this is a threat? I mean is it finding a significant audience among mainline Christian denominations? It seems very "out there" to me. Again, enjoyed your post.

Yes and No.
The Ec is much too broad to pidgenhole. There are many good things happening, and they are asking some very good questions. It is when truth is called in to question that I start to be worried. We lose Christ, the cross, and grace when we loose truth
