Retired Soldier's Response to Horowitz's warning to "Shut Up."

Sir,
You have eloquently stated the mind of many Americans, regardless of party affiliation, who are, by their belief in America, more than a bit concerned about the audacity of Obama in ignoring this issue. Being willing to lay aside all other aspersions as to his character and patriotism, this refusal to simply produce his original Certificate of Live Birth and his hard fought attempts to hide that document at any cost casts a very bad shadow of the man that we voters can not put aside so easily.

It is our common faith in the Constitution and the guarantees it promises that always bring the people back to it for the answer. That there are so many willing to bend its ethics and twist the morality it stands for is only more evidence of the need to resort to it and the intentions of its authors for the answers needed today.

Regardless of the shouts of inequality or accusations of bigotry put forth, if the Constitutionality is the only issue in question those accusations fall mainly on deaf ears.

A great post from one who knows the greatness of our nation. Thank you for your wisdom shared with us.

Thank you for your kind words of affirmation. As you may suspect, I did not support Senator Obama in his bid for the presidency; however, if he is indeed legally qualified for office, he was apparently elected by a majority of Americans and should not be denied office.

The question of his birth certificate is an issue of his own making. His absolute refusal to answer the call to present the evidence of his qualification should cause honest law abiding Americans to question his legal right to serve. Unfortunately, today we live in a culture that neither understands what it has cost to preserve our democratic way of life, nor values enforcement of the rule of law. It is for this cause that people like Mr. Horowitz trivializes the Constitution and supports the idea that Mr. Obama’s refusal to be accountable and prove his qualification in accordance with the founding document is a “technicality” that should be overlooked. This begs the question of how willing Obama and his administration will be to their requirement to operate with any accountability to the U.S. Constitution at any point of intersection where the Constitution tells them, “no”?

I want to thank you for your service in defense of this nation. In my military career I have seen what it is like to live where life is cheap and the laws, when enforced, are designed to support the interests of the few. We are indeed privileged to be citizens of this great land. May America be preserved as her founders envisioned her for future generations. Thank you for your service. It is indeed an honor for me stand with you as one who has served in uniform in the defense of the United States of America.
