Wonderful
Excellent post. I agree with it completely. Unfortunately blacks do keep themselves down. Waiting for a handout. Not trying to sound racist but its the truth. When we are really all equal, why won't some just get up and do something. Bill Cosby has spoken on this and I agree with him. If all blacks would just get off this mindset they would see a real change for themselves. but community organizers actually keep them down to be able to push their views on them. Seems community organizers a more predators than helpers.

Racist without a doubt
You felt the need to repeat five times that you are not a racist. That tells me that you are trying to convince yourself, that you're not a racist.
I'm not sure of the African American people that you know or think you know, not the ones on TV or you read about in newspapers, but the hardworking, tax paying American citizens. The ones like yourself that have mortgages (not sub prime) car payments, children in college that get up everyday to take care of there families and extended families the one that are responsible for themselves. The ones like yourself that will not have their tax dollars spread around because they don't have the wealth to spread around because like you they are barely getting by. If you are making 250K+ then giving up a little of your earning won't hurt I am sure, but if it does hurt I am sure you will have your accountant find a tax cut to make sure you don't spread around any of your earnings.
Until you spend the day in the shoes of an African American, please don't judge all African Americans. We serve this country like other races, we pay taxes and we take responsibility for our actions, we are Americans just like you.
So please don't make up excuses, just say you're not voting for Barack Obama because he is black and your ignorance makes you think blacks will get handouts. Admit to yourself you are a racist.
By the way I don't like shiftless, lazy people that depend on the gov't no matter what color they are. Remember blacks are 13% of the population. Check your state stats to see how much of the gov't handouts you go to blacks may be surprised.

racist with out a doubt? yes you may be
I am sorry but your comment is ridiculous. I am not saying that all black Americans think this way. I am not saying that all Mexican Americans think this way. I am not saying that any minority in its entirety thinks this way. I am saying that the only ones that have brought up race as an excuse for voters in this campaign have been the Obama campaign. I am saying that I am tired of being called racist because I am not voting for Obama. I would like you to read some of my other posts, I think you would have a better understanding of me. I don't make 250,000 a year, but my husband's company does. Do you think that if they are giving up 60% of their profit/income they will be able to pay my husbands salary or the other employees salaries? You do not know me and by one post should in fact take your own advice and not judge. I am white, with a Mexican mother. I grew up with out my white father. I watched my mother work three jobs to make it. I watched her day in and day out put food on our table by nothing short of a miracle. I also watched her try hard to succeed with an 8th grade education. I also never heard her once make an excuse. I never once watched her take a hand out, she simply worked harder. My sister is married to a black man, my nieces and nephew are half black. I have walked in the shoes of some one with less, so excuse me if I don't find sympathy in not becoming all you can simply because you are a minority. And by the way my sister and her family do use the fact that they are half black to better themselves. They do receive food stamps, cash aide, and lower rent. She is not disabled, he is not disabled. They do it because they can. Because they happen to live in a society that hands out excuses like free samples on the weekends at Costco. Thank you for your input, I will try to be a little more sympathetic and a use a little less generalizations in the future.

This is a great blog you have written here. I have one up you should check out called "What is guarenteed?" that I think would hit around how you feel.
I also live pay check to pay check. I'm a single mom, I have a car payment, insurance, cell phone, student loans, utilities, etc to pay just like everyone else. I make good money. If I didn't have student loans or my car payment (just five more months and bye bye car payment thank god! so long! see ya!) I'd be in much better shape.
But I work hard and I don't want the money of someone else that worked hard. I wouldn't qualify for Barry's "welfare" even if I did want it.
I truely believe in pursuing the American Dream and for the most part I'm living it. I have a roof over my head, food in my stomach, and my son wants for nothing. I have a job, transportation, and I got it all on my own. Is it rough sometimes when there is something I want and it has to wait or something I want to buy my son and I can't just now? Sure. But it's worth it in the end because I didn't take handouts to get where I want to be in life.
Keep it up Kim. I wish you and your family well. Don't let this guy kill your spirit.

Kimberly didn't say she wasn't a racist 5 times to convince herself. she is saying it because that seems to be what you have to say over and over when you said that you support McCain.
People like Jeff Cafferty and John Murtha have made it abundantly apparent that the only way Obama can lose this election is because people are racist that support McCain, abandoning the fact that conservatives are going to vote for the GOP regardless of race.
And if you make $250K a year, you are living based on those earnings. Your mortgage, carpayments, loans, etc. are all taken out based on the fact that that is the amount of money you make. So paying more WOULD affect those people.
And the small business owners that Obama wants to tax higher because they are in that bracket, $250k isn't their take home pay. It is more around $40-50 (average) because all that money circles right back into their business for permits, training, vehicles, inventory, benefits and paying their employees. So taxing those people higher is going to hurt and cause job loss.
