The photos of Dr. Schlessinger to which you refer were sold by her estranged lover to a tabloid and were posted on the internet without her consent. I could not locate any with a brief search, just the news reports of them.

She, like others with a doctorate in some life science, is referred to using the title Doctor in her name. She has the paper and the privelages that go with it. At least she's not a chiropractor.

Why wouldn't a Christian owned network carry her show? Is it a requirement to be without sin to be able to be syndicated with a Christian network? I doubt it, more likely the reverse is true. She has admitted her mistakes and, obviously, has repented and leads a life dedicated to promoting Christian values in the family, something we can use more of. Any Christian who sincerely studies and abides by the teachings of Christ the best they can, will forgive repentant sinners not once, nor seven times, but seven times seven times. That is the essence of Christian belief, forgiveness of sin.

I have read almost all your blog posts and admire your life, career, and your verbose leanings. I can't see any pension for intolerance or un-Christian actions or beliefs in your writings, I don't believe they are in you either. It is alarming to discover such a past for Dr. Laura, but judge her on what she is doing for others everyday, not her weaknesses and sinful nature in her history. We all have a closet and most aren't empty.

Mr. Flowers, we just don't see this the same way, although it seems more likely that more people agree with you than agree with me; otherwise, she'd not be on the air.

For the same reason I'm not a fan of Dr. Phil, it seems to me that people who keep screwing up their own lives have no business counseling others.

So I don't understand why this series of stations that seems to seriously focus on promoting values through other hosts, would decide to put her in their line up.

I have seen those photos, by the way. I saw them by complete accident, and I can't tell you how shocked I was.

They are very crude and far from discrete. How they got sold/posted isn't what interests me. It is that she posed for them in the first place, then left them for this guy to do with them as he pleased.

Over my 68 years I've known a great number of girls and ladies who have excelled. Interestingly, I've not known of one who found it OK to live the life of Ms. Schlessinger.

I'm sure Salem will continue to run her program just like I'm sure they will continue to run those idiotic commercials by the guy who says he's a beach bum.

I, also, have never personally known a woman who has erred so badly as she. And I have five sisters and a 34 year old daughter. All saints if truth be known.

I guess I'm just a bit more of a pushover when it comes to dealing with women, but it's not a serious character flaw. Hehehe...
