Tanglead 5 Reason Response.
[TANGLEAD]1- I'd be surprised to know that McCain's people even reads conservative blogs, because McCain tells people what they should think. He doesn't listen.
[TWO POUND] Really, how then can him and Palin disagree on something as public as drilling in Alaska and have him not have reigned her in on the subject. They also disagree on abortion in any situation etc etc. You may want to consider your first point. It lacks credibilty.

[TANGELEAD] 2- McCain thinks that as a conservative we are all going to vote for him already. That shows me that he doesn't understand conservatism. & 3-McCain does not vote conservatively.
[TWO POUND] So, because he is not conservative enough you are going to vote for someone extremely "liberal" to get back at him? Or just not vote at all? What about his stance on abortion, what about gay marriage, what about eliminating $750 billion dollars we are sending to our enemies. What about not voting for bills with pork? What about interupting this so called deal last Thursday lending a much more public voice to House Republican's? Even conservative Republicans get it.

McCain Listening skills
Campaign Finance Reform, the Border? Any of these ring a bell? He doesn't listen. When criticized on these he just tells conservatives to shut up and sit down because he knows everything. Sounds like a liberal when he does it.

[TANGLEAD] 4- McCain acts as though he is afraid of appearing conservative all the time.
[TWO POUND] One of the reason he will win this election is because he doesn't appeal to just conservatives. While I wish on this planet we could all say that most of the voting nation is conservative, that is just not factual. The vote relies somewhat on Independants and Right leaning Democrats. This is why he pounded all the other candidates in the primary. He has a profound popularity that will come to surface when the election arrives. PS> Palin does as well, maybe even more so.

Tanglelad, your five reasons said practically nothing. You compliment McCain when you imply he is not so conservative, somewhat moderate. Its good that he is flexible and receptive to liberal American views and unlike the Democrats, McCain is not just a one-eyed Republican. With Dems, its their way or hit the H'way! Attn: 2# Radio. Talk about VPs agreeing, slow Joe even said, in so many words, Obama should have picked Hillary, Ha! While both are cheapskates and extreme liberals, plagiarizers, they have many disagreements! Foolish of you to mention this.

I know many conservatives who will not be voting because they only vote for conservatives. My 5 reasons make perfect sense, just not to moderates. John McCain needs THE BASE of conservatives to win. And we are not with him.

McCain on Abortion
in 2000 McCain said he would not interfere with his daughter if she planned to abort John McCain's own grandchild. He is only pro-life for the moment.

[TANGLEAD] 5- McCain should be saying to the American people and Obama that while Americans don't want to be slaves to corporations, we are even less interested in giving control of our lives to government. But he won't because he does not believe this himself. McCain is going to lose this election with a smile on his face.
[TWO POUND] I have no idea where this predicate is coming from?

you are deluding yourself if you believe that what John McCain NOW says is what he believes or will actually do.

Impeccable reasoning. But then again, if the noseholders were committed to principles, facts and logic, they wouldn't be noseholders in the first place.

McCain, the better man is the real deal!
Hi Tanglelad, in response to your follow up. Many Conservatives will not vote for the white man McCain because they are racist. You forgot to mention those black Conservatives. Also many white Dems will not vote for the black man. Your point should include all aspects, both sides.
If a very conservative Sarah can't reassure the hard right then let them sit it out and live under the ultra liberal leadership of a mis-guided Obama Presidency, who wins by default!

Very true. I have black friends who are not liberals that will vote for Obama simply because he is black.
Even J.C. Watts has sided with Obama. I guess it's true, "It's a black thing, and I couldn't understand."
To me, it's a values thing.
