Blinded by bias
That's it, just blinded to any other facts not popular with the editors making those decision of what to report. Now here's another fact that is not reported by the press. Over 7000 deaths due to Pharmacists unable to read the messy writing of doctors on prescriptions.. 1.5 million harmed.

Bravo
Good find grampus! A keeper.
In Robert Bork's book "Slouching Towards Gomorrah", is a chapter called "The Vertical Invasion of the Barbarians". The title refers to "a genration so large that they (form) their own culture rather than being assimilated into the existing one."
Not enough mentors to mentor the vast number of young minds full of mush.
In short, our babyboomers comprised just such an invasion that overwhelmed our universities and our media during the 60's. Themes such as "Drugs, sex, and rock and roll" and "Question authority" became the hallmark of the massive generation.
I believe this babyboomer influx is the root of our current Brat culture. If not the root, at least a pointer to a vast amplification of an ill already in our society.
Our media and acedemia are now just full of people mentally and emotionally stuck in the teenage/college age years.
- Question authority. Complain. Utopian theories. Belittle others. Woe is me. Everything's a crisis.
These are the people that are "instructing" our new generations, and comprise the bulk of the force that delivers us our "news".
Sorta scary.
By the way, I'm a babyboomer that chose not to ride the babyboomer wave.
