The Movement Against Free Speech

I agree that the Fairness Doctrine stifles free speech and should not be reinstated.

Just because the Earth is not warming right now does not mean that it is not in a warming trend. The Earth is still significantly warmer than it was 150 years ago (that was after the Little Ice Age so there is no need to bring that up). If you imagine a saw pointing slightly upward, individual parts of the saw's edge may be pointing downward, up the overall trend is upward.

I notice you give no source for your claim that "we know that...man has minimal impact on the climate" (or for any other claim in your article). The evidence, in fact, shows just the opposite, and I will give a source: the August 2007 Scientific American article "The Physical Science behind Climate Change".

The debate over evolution vs. intelligent design is social and political; Ben Stein is not a scientist and there has not been a scientific debate over whether evolution is true for over a century, and for good reason. All of the evidence is in favor of evolution (see talkorigins.org and the Understanding Evolution website). Also, intelligent design proponents are not being "suppressed" (see expelledexposed.com).

re: to Michael

Thank you for your comment. I didn’t list sources or specific points because I didn’t want to turn this into a long drawn out boring piece that no one wanted to read. I think it turned out spectacularly! Anyway, I’m ecstatic that you agree that the Fairness Doctrine is anti free speech and you wouldn’t support it. As for global warming and climate change, well you made the argument yourself, if we are in a 150 year trend of slight warming when we know that the earth has a history of warming and cooling, then what does that have to do with the minimal (yes minimal) impact that humans have on the atmosphere. There are many scientists that after being a part of the mass hysteria in 2007 came out against what were being published about global warming, stating that the evidence was not conclusive or that they flat out didn’t agree and their names were put on studies anyway.

Here are some sources for people to check out.
