McCain Needs Huckabee

Huckabee appealed primarily to conservative Christian voters in the primaries. I think McCain already has conservative Christians covered as they are reliable voters and surely will not support Obama or Clinton. What McCain needs is confidence in the conservative base of the Republican party. Where can he get that? I think Mitt is the man for the job and conservative vote from the primaries shows that.

I wrote this blog post while Huckabee was still in the primary race. My point was that Huckabee at least kept the Republican race interesting during the Democratic circus (that is still continuing).

However, I'm not sure who the best choice would be for McCain for VP. Huckabee at the very least would be seen as gracious and perhaps a breath of fresh air in what is becoming a down-and-dirty election process. I don't care for Romney, but I have no idea who the ideal choice would be.
