Stop by my newest Andrew. You have a good analysis going. Keep it up. Look, Carter easily is the worst Pres. since I have been alive and I am 70. BHO is more scary because he actually gets his socialist pacifist tripe through the loons and lemmings in Congress. The way the GOP fights back , is to reach out to the Libertarians, all other conservcenterirght groups, Reagan Dems and some Indies on a new Contract which really will be transparent. BHO lies. This Contract will not or they will lose their power again.

I have recently been thinking about what the new Republican party needs to look like, and you described it pretty well.
My thought is anyone who supports more freedom or less government, in any form, is a good ally, even if moderate and not conservative, while anyone who advocates more laws, even people like paelo-con protectionists, are out. It means we will have a large number of allies, many who are not as conservative as the rest of us, but all united in a single goal, reducing government and increasing liberty.
I think it is a good organizing principle, a sit both is simple enough to understand and concise enough to give us focus. Better than our current identity as "conservatives", leaving that term completely undefined.
At least almost everyone knows what "freedom" means, while I have seen far too many arguments over what "conservative" means.
