Sheep are for shearing and eating

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: ....And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there. I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work...." Ecclesiastes 3:16-17.

As noted in the last three lines of your "Sheep are for Shearing and Eating," one may indeed wonder if shearing is the least of our worries as the powers that be truly do not appear to be "minding the store."

The truest of all evildoers shed no tears for the silence of the lambs. That deafening silence is what the evil ones want. They want it yesterday. They wanted it in England quite recently.

It never ceases to amaze me that these princes -- and sometimes princesses -- of satan appear to be so, well, human. They even allege to be actual doctors, and presumably possess at least average intelligence. Of course, even average intelligence and evil are not mutually exclusive.

So much, incidentally, for the Hippocratic oath.

As an aside, may the saints preserve the doctors and nurses charged with the care and nurture of the would-be bombers who managed only to burn themselves, but unfortunately not quite to a crisp.

One of these days Americans are going to rise as one to save such people the effort.

We will not go quietly to the shearing or slaughtering sheds.
