Fairness doctrine on the government itself!?

You are under the illusion that if they are balanced reason will prosper.

Balance doesn't assure that guarantee, the adage of "the rotten apple spoiling the bunch" comes to mind.

Stagnation isn't the necessary result, nor a common purpose, and also, there is no guarantee of "if we do this it follows" because they remain purchaseable, remain subject to the whims of those who will fill pockets, and, since we do not live in a dictatorship, the potential for stagnation amongst the people is increased.

Change, good or bad, is where innovation is born, and capitalism thrives. Most invention and innovation has come from this country where there is no stagnant central government or dictatorial authority.

What you propose has a great potential to bring such stagnation amongst us without necessarily assuring the same of our government.
