Why Persecute Mitt?

THEY CAME UP EMPTY, NO GAFF

What is revealing to me is that none of the talkshow hosts associated with Townhall condemed Jan Michelson, who secretly videotaped a presidential candidate off air and posted it on his website. That is unethical to say the least.

If you play close attention Michelson tells Romney they are off the air and then attempts to tell Romney what he needs to do to appeal to the Christian Right. Romney responds by saying he is just trying to get out his views.

It is obvious this guy was attempting to set Romney up for a big fall. This may of worked on a few of the other candidates. It appears Romney is the REAL DEAL. Don't be surprised if the Brownback Campaign is behind this one.

My Response to PArepublican

Thank you so much for your comment. I agree with what you wrote: "It appears Romney is the REAL DEAL." It certainly does seem like that to me also. He appears to be a man of tremendous character, and I only hope that more Christians will be able to put aside their religious leanings and try to see him in a true way.

What bothers me about the Jan Michelson interview is that he started it by asking Mitt about his connection to Iowa, and just general friendly chit-chat, then suddenly turned on him without any real warning. I honestly believe that Mitt was taken by surprise. I didn't see it coming either, did you? Mitt can be seen as a real person who has righteous anger when he is defending his Mormon faith. It is my understanding that Michelson is an extremely right-wing conservative, but I don't know if he is a Christian. All I can say is that if he is, then Mitt Romney, a Mormon, appears to have a more decent and Christian attitude.

Mitt Romney

I agree. While I do not embrace the Mormon faith, I respect the Mormons as decent people. I have no problem with having a Mormon in the White House. If he is the nominee, he has my vote. Those who would refuse to vote for him based on his religion are making a big mistake. Do they want Hillary in the White House?

I have not made up my mind if he is the Republican I will vote for in the primaries. But I do believe he has the right ideas and values for this country.

Gary - Mitt Should Not Be Persecuted

Gary,

Mitt Romney has a good chance. Evangelicals need to understand that ignoring him because he is a Mormon is wrong. They should look at Bill Clinton, who claims to be a Christian. So does Hillary, for that matter. So if it comes down to a choice between Hillary and Mitt, will they then choose Hillary?

Mitt Romney

Who knows? The electorate twice chose Bill Clinton over two WW2 heroes. I have a sneakin suspicion that Romney may be the nominee yet.
