... as they say. Yeah, I don't have very high hopes for da Bears as long as Mike McCaskey has any kind of role in the operation. But at least they gave me one championship in my lifetime, so that's something.

you know...
The Bears really have had some terrible luck with backs. Rashan Salaam. Curtis Enis. Cedric Benson.
Maybe they shouldnt have let go of Thomas Jones?

Not so sure about Jones
Perhaps he'll still have some productive time with the J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets, but he hasn't exactly torn up the AFC since he left da Bears.
In Jones' defense, if I had to bet I'd wager the Bears O line he ran behind in his last season in Chicago was better than the crew in NY, and that's certainly a big factor for any back. I think the Bears' line is starting to show some age after having a pretty good run together, so that does also have to factor into Benson's poor showing.
Still, I don't think the line is necessarily bad, or suddenly was that much worse after Jones left. I think Benson is, as Chris has pointed out, just another in the line of busts like Salaam and Enis.

At least
he didn't:
1- get arrested driving drunk AND naked like a Detroit Lions (my long suffering team) coach, or
2- get arrested like a third of the Cincinnati Bengals (my short suffering team).....
At least you've got a Linebacker.
