Terrorism Seen as Mere Nuisance

For decades...

we treated terrorism as a criminal offense. What did that get us? 9/11. Terrorists are not the mafia. They are closer to an army than the are a rotary club. Most of them are sponsored and supported by governments. This puts them beyond criminals. They are fighters for a cause. They wish to kill any infidel and any apostate. They do not care how they do it and their is very little logic or reason in what they do (outside of their own little heads). Police can arrest them. The Military can kill them. I choose killing.

those wily wascals

Can you "imagine" (think John Lennon) a world in which the destruction of LA, Chicago, and New York by terrorists using WMDs is only considered a nuisance?

Oh drat - those wily wascals are at it again - Philadelphia is nuked, and to think we never made it over to that wonderful deli.

Nah, I think the adults will always consider terrorism a very serious threat to be dealt with militarily.

The military option is the only one...if we lose the White House in 08, and don't win back the House and Senate, it's anyone's guess what our future will look like...God help us.

I just posted a piece with a link to an article that will be upcoming in THE NATION. When you have time, I think this is something you could write on more sanely than I could. In fact, I'm so spun up now I want to hit somebody.
