You are correct, the Mayor circled the wagons and tried to blame everyone but the Dumbocraps and the break-down of morals in the US (Peace, Love, Drugs!). It was really funny!

I've often pointed out that my generation (HS Grad 71) did not reject the VALUES of our Parents, that's a lie we told our naval gazing selves. You don't GET anymore materialistic then Joplin's succinct Manifesto of the 60-70's "Drugs, Sex, Rock and Roll". What we rejected was the VIRTUES of our Parents. Personal responsibility, Responsibility and Service to Family, Community and Nation, any real sense of Honor or Morality apart from Pack Loyalty.

And the "Peace" thing was just Soviet Paid For anti-American Treason as an excuse to pisz off the folks. We know from the Mytrohkin Files "Sword and Shield" the Sovs had every "Peace Movement" staffed with KGB paid Agents. The number 2 man in the "Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament" in Britain was a Stazi (East German KGB) paid agent. ML. King's Group had at least one, never named but by code, on the payroll according to the KGB records.

We aren't that far apart! BTW, I was never into "naval gazing" except on the beach at Panama City looking at girls. Being a "middle child" and married to a "middle child", I had "responsibility" nailed early in life. Honor came pretty easy due to being raised in the South.

I read that about the KGB some where. Makes you wonder what else was going on.
