Wow! What great dedication.
A great reminder of how blessed we are and how much we take for granted. I'm glad, at least, that he is out of his room with snakes & rats for companions. The mosquitos sound equally repulsive. (well, almost). God Bless your Marine/Missionary friend in his work and in his life. Sounds like he "finds" blessings even in circumstances that most of us would be defeated by.
This was a great letter from your friend and a great post. Thanks, Tim.

Amazing how some see those blessing yet many remain blind. The secret to happiness by any measure.
Thanks for the words. I’m sure Don will stop in and read the comments.

Thank you Don and God Bless you and All
you come in contact with and all they come in you come in contact with. Let God's Love Spread over all these People in Jesus Christ Name Amen!
I have never experience what you are witnessing...It is shocking to know babies know nothing else but absolute misery...Love has to mean everything where you are...One of the fruits of the Spirit is long suffering.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
I know God is the only thing that can make places like that bearable.
Please pass it on Tim

Can you imagine if this could happen in.
Can you imagine if this could happen in Mugabe's Zimbabwe? People forget that Bush spent more money on AIDS and other help in Africa than all, all the other Presidents up to his time. Compassionate conservative Christianity in action. The USA has had so many wonderful missionaries in all levels of jobs, life experiences and all they get is to be fun of. Too bad because American compassion, God's compassion is ever ready to aid people round the globe if, if ,if they call on both. Still, the compassion meter is getting strained for many Americans too when the people who ask for aid then slam the nation, hate us and even use weapons against us.

“…it is the little things in life that we do that makes a big difference…”
I remember something that my Senior Drill Instructor, SSgt Street said to a bunch of worthless recruits 33 years ago. “Take care of the little things prives, and the big things will take care of themselves”. That axiom holds true whether you’re preparing for the next mission, or trying to end the world’s suffering.
Thanks for stopping by.

Most people will look at a Christmas tree and think of compassion, hope, and love. Or they’ll feel indifferent. Others will see the same tree and be filled with discontent and disgust. I don’t understand it anymore than I do the liberal mindset.
Thanks for commenting.
