Columbia has been fighting drug lords and communists for the last 20 or 30 years. I don't think Hugo Chavez wants to mess with them. The Columbian army would chew up Chavez's people in 3 weeks.

On the other hand, Columbia does have a problem with corruption in their government, especially at the lower levels.

The only thing I've ever heard about Columbia was the Medelin Cartel and cocaine. I didn't know until 2 days ago that they were our ally. I'm sure we're doing something (the govt) to assist them. Surely we're not that stupid or lazy.

I think the next president is going to have to decide whether or not to use US Airpower to help the Columbians. Could Obama or Clinton? Me thinks not.

There's been a lot about the situation on Fox the past couple of days. I don't know what the US will do but we need to help the Colombians out. The dims won't go for anything I'm sure like davecat stated.

We sure got trouble brewing every which way you look.

what will happen over the next few months. It would not be good for us, or the world, if South America became totally communistic. But then what can we do about it? This is sure a bad time to have Liberals in control of our government.(should that happen.)

I went there just a few minutes ago as well as to a related artilce by one of her commenters. Seems this issue is on a lot of minds for good reason.

He will put the pressure on Columbia, no doubt about that...

Where's you at man? Just wondering if you were still around because every time I clicked on my blog roll I came up with server not found. It must be my mistake on the listing. I'll have to check it out.

btw, I went to school with a guy who was a green beret who was in Columbia fighting undercover operation. That's all he could tell me he said. The rest was "classified. That was about 15 years ago so no doubt we are in there still in some invisible manner.
